I have been fortunate enough to have learned from the most humble and incredible artists both as an art student and as a professional. Professors who poured their souls into the well-being of young barely out of teenage age adult, mentors who challenged me to go find the answer instead of simply handing it over, people who have told me the hard things I needed to hear but who also lifted me up when I was on the floor, and seasoned wedding photographers who asked questions about why I do what I do and reframed how I saw the world.

I am only able to see far because I stand on the shoulders of those who have paved the path before me.

And we’re here with a little help & guidance.

We want you to be you.

I believe in the importance of that tradition of teaching the next wave of photographers. To show them that they can be who they are truly meant to be as artists. The goal is not to make them like us, the goal is to see who they really are. Just like our clients and weddings, no one is identical, and so we do not expect you to become us.

1 hr zoom call

We do an initial phone call to see what the pain points are with both your business and your photography, and develop a plan for the day when we meet. It includes everything from learning how to shoot film, client interaction, portfolio review, how to shoot couples, pretty much I'm an open book. This is a very intensive learning time, and honesty is at the forefront of the session, but many find it to be beneficial and concrete steps are put into place in order for the students to reach their goals.

what to expect

Valtentina Val

“Daniel's mentoring session has turned my world upside down. We spent a day discussing what is important to me and my art; he dedicated the entire conversation to me and what I need to become a better photographer, not to him. That was my favorite part; he wasn't selfishly focused on his own achievement, but rather gave his support and guidance on how I can start my journey to success, via my story, through my art.

During our mentor session, I also got to observe how he interacted with a genuine couple for an engagement shoot, as well as how his brain works, which was fantastic! A year later, I still think about our session almost every day and how much it influenced me as a photographer.”
